As such, we are committed to providing a friendly, safe and welcoming environment for all, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, disability, ethnicity, religion, preferred operating system, programming language, or text editor.<\/p>\n<p>This code of conduct outlines our expectations for participant behavior as well as the consequences for unacceptable behavior.<\/p>\n<p>We invite all sponsors, volunteers, speakers, attendees, and other participants to help us realize a safe and positive conference experience for everyone.<\/li>\n<li>\n<h3>Open Source Citizenship<\/h3>\n<p>A supplemental goal of this code of conduct is to increase open source citizenship by encouraging participants to recognize and strengthen the relationships between what we do and the community at large.<\/li>\n<li>\n<h3>Expected Behavior<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Be considerate, respectful, and collaborative.<\/li>\n<li>Refrain from demeaning, discriminatory or harassing behavior and speech.<\/li>\n<li>Be mindful of your surroundings and of your fellow participants. Alert conference organizers if you notice a dangerous situation or someone in distress.<\/li>\n<li>Participate in an authentic and active way. In doing so, you help to create<br \/>\nWordCamp Riga and make it your own.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h3>Unacceptable Behavior<\/h3>\n<p>Unacceptable behaviors include: intimidating, harassing, abusive, discriminatory, derogatory or demeaning conduct by any attendees of<br \/>\nWordCamp Riga and related events. All\u00a0WordCamp Riga venues may be shared with members of the public; please be respectful to all patrons of these locations.<\/p>\n<p>Harassment includes: offensive verbal comments related to gender, sexual orientation, race, religion, disability; inappropriate use of nudity and\/or sexual images in public spaces (including presentation slides); deliberate intimidation, stalking or following; harassing photography or recording; sustained disruption of talks or other events; inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention.<\/li>\n<li>\n<h3>Consequences Of Unacceptable Behavior<\/h3>\n<p>Unacceptable behavior will not be tolerated whether by other attendees, organizers, venue staff, sponsors, or other patrons of WordCamp Riga venues.<\/p>\n<p>Anyone asked to stop unacceptable behavior is expected to comply immediately.<\/p>\n<p>If a participant engages in unacceptable behavior, the conference organizers may take any action they deem appropriate, up to and including expulsion from the conference without warning or refund.<\/li>\n<li>\n<h3>What To Do If You Witness Or Are Subject To Unacceptable Behavior<\/h3>\n<p>If you are subject to unacceptable behavior, notice that someone else is being subject to unacceptable behavior, or have any other concerns, please notify a conference organizer as soon as possible.<\/p>\n<p>The WordCamp Riga team will be available to help participants contact venue security or local law enforcement, to provide escorts, or to otherwise assist those experiencing unacceptable behavior to feel safe for the duration of the conference.<br \/>\nVolunteers will be wearing special colored t-shirts. Any volunteer can connect you with a conference organizer. You can also come to the special registration desk in the lobby and ask for the organizers.<\/li>\n<li>\n<h3>Scope<\/h3>\n<p>We expect all conference participants (sponsors, volunteers, speakers, attendees, and other guests) to abide by this code of conduct at all conference venues and conference-related social events.<\/li>\n<li>\n<h3>Contact Information<\/h3>\n<p>You can contact any of the organizer or volunteers during the event. The team wears extra-colored t-shirts with the logo.<\/li>\n<li>\n<h3>License And Attribution<\/h3>\n<p>This Code of Conduct is a direct swipe from the awesome work of Open Source Bridge, but with our event information substituted. The original is available at<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/opensourcebridge.org\/about\/code-of-conduct\/\">http:\/\/opensourcebridge.org\/about\/code-of-conduct\/<\/a> and is released under a<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/creativecommons.org\/licenses\/by-sa\/3.0\/\">Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike<\/a> license.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h1 id=\"wordcamp-sponsorship-rules-for-2017\" class=\"toc-heading user-typed\">WordCamp sponsorship rules 2017<\/h1>\n<p>1. Sponsor may provide:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The sponsor\u2019s name and logo<\/li>\n<li>Slogans that are an established part of the sponsor\u2019s image<\/li>\n<li>The sponsor\u2019s brands and trade names<\/li>\n<li>Sponsor contact information (such as telephone numbers, email addresses, and URLs)<\/li>\n<li>Factual (value-neutral) displays of actual products<\/li>\n<li>Displays or handout materials (such as brochures) with factual, non-comparative descriptions or listings of products or services<\/li>\n<li>Price information, or other indications of savings or value, if factual and provable<\/li>\n<li>Inducements to purchase or use the Sponsor\u2019s products or services, for example by providing coupons or discount purchase codes (subject to approval)<\/li>\n<li>Calls to action, such as \u201cvisit this site for details\u201d, \u201ccall now for a special offer\u201d, \u201cjoin our league of savings\u201d, etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>2. Sponsors may not provide:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Promotional or marketing material containing superlative messages or unprovable claims about the Sponsor, its products or services, such as \u201cthe first name in WordPress hosting\u201d, \u201cthe easiest way to launch your site\u201d, or \u201cthe best e-commerce plugin\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Claims that WordPress, WordPress Foundation, meetup organizers, WordCamps, or WordCamp organizers endorse or favor a Sponsor or its products or services (such as \u201ccertified WordPress training\u201d or \u201cWordCamp\u2019s favorite plugin\u201d)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>3. Sponsors agree that the WordPress Foundation, any subsidiary or related entity of the Foundation, and WordCamp organizers have the right to request and review sponsor materials in advance of an event, to require changes to any materials in advance, and to require that any materials that do not meet the above expectations be taken down or that any practices that do not meet the above expectations be discontinued during a WordCamp or event. The above restrictions also apply to material placed on any self-serve swag tables reserved for sponsor use.<\/p>\n<p>4. All sponsors are expected to support the WordPress project and its principles, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>No discrimination on the basis of economic or social status, race, color, ethnic origin, national origin, creed, religion, political belief, sex, sexual orientation, marital status, age, or disability.<\/li>\n<li>No incitement to violence or promotion of hate<\/li>\n<li>No spammers<\/li>\n<li>No jerks<\/li>\n<li>Respect the WordPress trademark.<\/li>\n<li>Embrace the WordPress license; If distributing WordPress-derivative works (themes, plugins, WP distros), any person or business officially associated with WordCamp should give their users the same freedoms that WordPress itself provides: 100% GPL or compatible, the same guidelines we follow on WordPress.org.<\/li>\n<li>Don\u2019t promote companies or people that violate the trademark or distribute WordPress derivative works which aren\u2019t 100% GPL compatible.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>5. Sponsorship is in no way connected to the opportunity to speak at an official WordPress event and does not alter the WordPress or WordCamp trademark usage policy found at\u00a0http:\/\/wordpressfoundation.org\/.
